On May 9, 2023, the grand finale of the second edition of AUTOFACHMAN competition for students of automotive technicians and industry schools took place in Pszczyna. 10 two-person teams from all over Poland competed in the final. As sponsors, we had the opportunity to carry out one of the final tasks. Our aim was to test the knowledge of the finalists in the field of specialist automotive tools. We presented the students with several different products from our offer and the task was to indicate the formal name of a given tool and say what it is used for. At the beginning, the task was not difficult for young people specialising in this category, however, there was one product that proved to be a real challenge.
During the competition, a meeting with Bartosz Wóźnikowski, the main developer at TechTIR, was held. Mr. Bartosz took part in this year’s edition of the world-famous DAKAR rally. He told the participants a bit about his work and gave a comprehensive account of this prestigious event.
The organisers of the competition rose to the occasion. The event enjoyed a great turnout and interest. Congratulations are also due to all sponsors who tested school students. A series of tasks made it possible to identify the best of the best, and the high level of competence of the participants meant that the order on the list of results was sometimes decided by fractions of points. Everyone could feel like a winner, reaching the final was not the easiest task, but 3 teams could stand on the podium, and they were:
First place – Mateusz Pachna and Adrian Jureczko from the Mechanical School Complex in Krosno
Second place – Miłosz Furman and Kacper Czapka from the Automotive School Complex in Rzeszów
Third place – Michał Uliczka and Maksymilian Tront from the Vocational and Continuing Education Center No. 2 in Racibórz.
